Tips for the weekend

The Weekend is Nearly Here!

Looking forward to seeing you all at GlastonBeoley this weekend. Here are a few frequently asked questions to ensure you have a successful trip.

Where is it? The festival is at The Birmingham and Solihull Rugby Club (The Bees) off Junction 3 of the A435 (towards Redditch). Take the left hand lane and turn in as you leave the M42 roundabout. The postcode for SATNAV is B94 5LH.

Are tickets still available? Yes, you can buy tickets on the gate, cash or card are accepted.

I have 2020 tickets, are they still valid? Yes, you can come either Saturday or Sunday, just bring your tickets.

What time does the festival start on Saturday 31st August? Gates open at 12pm, and the festival music starts at 1pm.

Do children get in free?
All under 16’s get free entry.

What time does the festival start on Sunday 1st August?
Gates open at 11.30, and the festival music starts at 12pm.

Can I bring my dog?
We’re really sorry – as it’s a rugby pitch, we aren’t able to allow dogs on the field.

Is there free parking?
Yes! There’s TONNES of free parking! Please follow the parking Marshalls when you get to the Bees Rugby and they will direct you to where you need to be! Gates will be securely locked overnight.

Can I bring a gazebo?
Of course you can! You are very welcome to bring a pop-up gazebo and set up on the field. As long as it doesn’t obscure the stages (so probably best on the sides) and we might ask you move it if it is – that’s no problem!

Can I bring my own booze?
We have the most amazing mobile bar that sells all types of beer, ales, wines, cocktails and spirits – and we encourage you to support them as they’ve worked with us for a few years now and they are INCREDIBLE! You CAN bring your own but PLEASE NO glass, as the field is used for sports. Cans are acceptable, and please use the recycling facilities available.

Can I bring my own food?
As with every GlastonBeoley festival, we have a brilliant range of food from Burgers, hotdogs chips, hog roast, Caribbean cuisine, to ice cream, coffee and donuts. You are very welcome to bring your own food, but we love it when our festival-goers support the traders too!

Can I smoke on the field?
We’d prefer it if people smoked off the pitch, and we will be giving every smoker that attends a special “GlastonBeoley” tin can, for all the nub-ends! (Because we LITERALLY thought of EVERYTHING this year! 😊)

It’s a big event with lots of people – is it COVID safe?
We have worked VERY hard with the local authorities to make sure that we are operating within guidelines. Our open-air festival is big enough for you to sit and have plenty of space around you. There is a QR code on the entrance for those who wish to voluntarily check in on the NHS app, and of course if you’re showing any signs of having COVID, please stay at home and look after yourself!

Can I bring a BBQ?
Sorry, there’s no open fires or BBQs allowed.
